It sure is.
I'm a big fan of 1969-70 and also of 1972-74. While there is some overlap, I just think that on the whole 1971 doesn't measure up to the years around it. Not saying there are no good shows (4/29/71, 8/5-6/71, the Ann Arbor shows in December) but between learning the new material and adjusting to the Mickey-less sound there were just way too many shows that I find to be lacking.

try sitting through phil singing wave to the wind,amongst 10,000 folks at the omni you could hear a pin drop.they never recovered nor did the fans and jerry had lets get the fuck out of here look before we get lynched.
